Following dozens of deaths in the Caribbean, Hurricane Sandy's expected landfall in the Northeast has already severely impacted the region with mass closures and transit service stoppages. How destructive do you think the overall impact will be to residents, infrastructure, the economy, etc.?

This storm along with a personal fear that Loner and that girly-man writing the
Friday editorials will cause me to change my mind and vote for Obama, I will
be at the polls early today to cast a pre-storm vote for his deserving opponent.
Let's hope that the coast is spared some and that the damage isn't that great. I'll be thinking about the people along the storms path.

I don't know what kind of effect it could have had overall, but back in the early 50s a test was made during several hurricanes by flying planes through the eye of hurricanes and dropping dry ice and it killed the storm.
I never read any more about it after the test was finished. It was determined by the aerologists to be a will of God.

Actually if the 10% margin for Romney in the state holds (which is most certainly will) bfra it's really more like 2.182 to 1 when you consider Tennessee gets the state bump of 2 electors over the 9 based on Tennessee's proportion of US population.
No... bad things happening is when the two ex Navy seals who jump in to try to save the Ambassador and his staff light up the enemy with coordinates and laser targeting and then the finger of God never comes down to destroy those terrorists.

I'm no meteorologist; I leave that stuff to the professionals.....apparently, this is going to be a "big one".....we shall see.
Wipe your ass with the Fox talking points, Ben. Millions of people and property are in danger with this storm. Get your head out of Romney's ass for five minutes and take a look around.

Sorry, Ben, but President Obama nailed Osama Bin Laden....Obama made a tough decision...his entire legacy depended on the success or failure of the mission...Obama bet the farm and he won....President Obama has a proven track record of being able to make the big decisions.....Willard Romney has always evaded the big decisions, just like he evaded service in the US armed forces, evaded paying taxes, evaded big questions during the campaign...etc.....Darth Evader does not have the right stuff to be POTUS ...BHO does.

Forecasters said the combination of it with the storm from the west and the cold air from the Arctic could bring close to a foot of rain in places, a potentially lethal storm surge of 4 to 11 feet across much of the region, and punishing winds that could cause widespread power outages that last for days. The storm could also dump up to 2 feet of snow in Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia.
