When costs rise, fares must rise. Ten cents doesn't seem too excessive. Would probably cover cost increase by volume.

Good morning, Nashville!

Question: Do you think the new fare hikes from MTA and RTA are fair and manageable?

Answer: How in the hell could we, mere mortals, know the answer to an insolvable conundrum like that? It's certainly over my head....I'll plead ignorance on such a weighty issue as this one.

10c ? Yeah, sure. $1.70 is ok. Sould of just been done with it and make it $1.75.
L'ner: Speaking of weighty issues...fatso Gingrich says the gov't can overrule the SCOTUS. I wouldn't watch those idiotic debates, just get the Clif's Notes from FOX & Friends.

Fuel is a huge cost to MTA and gasoline and diesel fuel is up over
50% since our current Wind Tunnel driven administration has been
in office. No drilling for Natural Gas or Oil nor use of coal is only going
to get worse for this nation. Don't like the rate? Buy a Chinese Bike!

Gingrich's hateful and up-sucking comment, that the Palestinians are an "invented people", was beautifully rebutted by Ray Hanania, here:

Yes, 10 cents is fine. The fare still covers only a portion of the operational cost.

I watched a few minutes of the "debate" between the fascists but was appalled at the loaded questions being asked by the "moderator" and of course the lies and evasions the fascists provided.

I missed the latest performance by the giggling gaggle of GOP goofballs....it's great entertainment...if the show had a laugh track, I might watch more of their episodes...I'm afraid that, like most Americans, I have become addicted to the laugh track...a sitcom without a laugh track is like a Republican debate with no substance.

Does America really want two hound dogs occupying the W.H.? Callista is equally a pig, as is fatso Gingrich, for having an adulterous affair. Want her as First Lady esposing "family values"?
Then he stands on the Republican plank of "Family Values". I want to puke.
At least Obama is faithfull and his family, especially the First Lady, is beautiful.
See Callista's profile? Looks like Woody Woodpecker with that beak of hers.
And the platinum-blonde helmet for hair. Yuk!

By: Loner on 12/16/11 at 8:25

Darge, both Mr. and Mrs. Gingrich use hair helmets...without the chin straps. Have you noticed that one of the Security Men surrounding Newt has a fire extinguisher on the ready? That's in case the hair-spray-rich atmosphere that surrounds and envelopes Newt and his lovely wife suddenly ignites....POOOF!!

Newt does not want to make an ash of himself, or his well-coiffured wife....hence the fire extinguisher's perpetual presence. When it comes to protecting his own assets, Newt is a pro. The guy has made multi-millions, as a Washington insider..and he's guarding his stash, like a rat....and trying to look suave and debonair in so doing.

By: Loner on 12/16/11 at 8:29

Darge, my dog, Buddy - who is lying down beside me as I type this - is a hound dog. I consider any comparison between Buddy and Newt (or his lovely wife) to be insulting to Buddy. Please retract that false analogy, Sir.

Maybe the Newt likes woodpeckers, Darge....a horny old amphibian like Newt gets wood in his "pecker" when he sees a ruby-lipped, Barbie wannabe, like Caligula.. er, I mean Callista. She has a Roman Patrician nose, Darge...strictly uppuh crust....Newt likes to be seen with uppuh crust people....he's a millionaire who wants to become a billionaire....he's still climbing the social ladder...at his age and with his weight, I would not advise climbing so high, so fast.

I'm really leaning toward Romney.
On balance, he's the most stable and "abby"-Normal.
Trump had me thinking for 48 hours...too smug, and Gingrich is so patronizing and condenscending it's repugnant. So, he's a History prof. Big freekin' deal. Obama's a Harvard Law Prof...he wins.
I'd give "Ole Mitt" a shot at it for 4 years and see what he does.
The Republicans want it so bad, give it to 'em.
In the End, who cares?

By: Loner on 12/16/11 at 10:39

I'd prefer Mitt to the Newt too...but, hopefully Barrack Obama will trounce the opposition....if Newt gets in, it will prove the wisdom of the time-honored adage: The Masses are Asses.

The Republicans ran the economy aground...then they tried to block every recovery measure...now they want to take control of the ship-o-state again...now that we have somehow passed through the Dire Straits....I say, "Keep them out of the wheelhouse!"....."Keel haul the swabs!" AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!

By: Loner on 12/16/11 at 10:44

Newt deliberately stayed out of the limelight for a long time...he was making big money as an influence peddler...and as time passed, he calculated that his base would forget about his marital infidelity and other character issues....looks like his plan is bearing fruit...the fruited plain my actually go for the Newt. This guy is a confidence man's confidence man....he is a supreme liar and IMO a thief.

By: yogiman on 12/16/11 at 10:53

Are you accusing Gingrich a bigger liar that Barry Soetoro? I'll agree, he's bigger is physical size, but in physical size only.

Your boy Barry has him whupped like a puppy in outright lying.

By: Loner on 12/16/11 at 10:54

Oh no, Soetero Syndrome has reared its ugly head again....I'm outta here!

By: yogiman on 12/16/11 at 1:58

We still have 11 months of the usurper acting as a simple thief in office, Loner. This "syndrome" is going to keep its ugly head (to you and yours) reared the full length of time until you (think you are) democrats learn your master isn't in your democratic program. Going to learn between now and Nov. 2012? Yeah, its inevitable. Be surprised? Probably, at least many of you. Disappointed? Hard to say; depending on your acceptance of your obvious present show of ignorance

Shut up yogi

By: yogiman on 12/18/11 at 2:42

Don't you have a vocabulary other that "Shut up yogi"? You should try to learn how to make a reasonable statement other than the same thing constantly. Makes me wonder if you can "talk". I know you can't write in the English language.

What language are your suing that I'm not familiar with? Its like; Ugh, me tauk, you lisson. Sorry, I can't understand you.

How about going back to school to learn how to converse in the English language like a human being?
