Tennessee seems to have kept its well-qualified role as the Volunteer State. Gov. Bredesen signed into law on May 27 Public Chapter 983, which included the HB-3768 and SB-3740. Both branches voted yes for each of these branch bills with “no” votes and only one not voting in each branch.
This bill denies the Sharia Law from being recognized in Tennessee courts. The Sharia Law is referred to as "Islamic Law."
Islamic laws have been accepted by several nations in Europe, and some were looking forward for it to be accepted in the United States.
Hopefully, the Tennessee legislature has set a great example for the rest of the states of our union to deny foreign law in our courts.
The Volunteer State has once again volunteered to lead the way.

I'm not licensed to fish, either. Couldn't pass the written exam.
"McVeigh and Nichols didn't kill themselves in their acts.

Couldn't tell the difference between carp and crap, huh? ;-)
I tell you the ones we need to watch is them Southern Baptist.
Speaking of all this Muslim malarkey, has everyone noticed how the Mosque issue isn't being driven by the uber right anymore. Guess they got what they wanted out of it.
I know a dyslexic fisherman that always catches crap.
"I caught a carpload of crap today!"
-dyslexic fisherman that "house" knows
I stopped fishing, when they started demanding ID to buy dynamite. Bastards!
I have run across some interesting reading about Islam. It is an article written by Bill Walker, titled "Sharia Law for the Non-Muslim". Helps you learn a little more about it.
What'd they get, a lesson in arson? Don't tell me they converted by saying that the Mohamed guy is the one true path.
For something different check out this video:

I have truly missed this miss-matched assortment of carpish humor.

Later, Nemo. Welcome back.
Duck & cover, brrrrk.
Captain Nemo,
Why do you need rest when you don't partake of physical action?
I thought you had a knee surgery, Captain Nemo. Did they have to go through your brain to get to your knee? Did they take too much of it out?

That's hilarious! Good to see you back, Nemo!
It looks like a federal judge has decided the people of Oklahoma don't know what they want as law.
The people of Oklahoma voted 70 percent in favor of a ballot initiative known as State Question 755. It was a newly approved state constitution amendment prohibiting sate courts from considering international or Islamic law when deciding cases.
A U.S. district judge decided the vote should be put on hold until November 22 for a hearing over a possible preliminary injunction.
I guess them judges know more about what the people want than the people.
Good morning

Homebrew is better than beer, Amy. So is homemade wine.
You don't have to put all that STUFF in it and you can control the sweetness of it.
My neighbor and several friends make wine at home. It's usually very good.
What do you make?

I quit quite some time ago, Amy. I used to make grape wine with frozen grape juice.
I made my own home brew for years. Once you get used to your brew, you won't want any more beer. Better taste and you know what's in it.
Much is being said lately about the Obamacare health program placed in law by our legislature against the wishes of 73 percent of the general population of our nation after Rep. Pelosi told them they could the study it and understand it after it was voted in. all 2000 plus pages.. even those that hand nothing to do with health care.
Many old folks seem to be worried about what will happen to them but is seems a new solution has been developed for them.
The new plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun with four bullets. You will be allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, this means you will be sent to prison.
There you will get three meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need. Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? Great! Just pick them up. Need a new hip? Kidney? Lungs? Heart? No problem; All covered. And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care.
And because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore. And you will get to do what the politicians do.. sit around 24/7.
Is this a great country or what?
It seems somehow, George Bush and Barack Obama ended up at the same barber shop.
As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were afraid to start a conversation for fear it would turn to politics.
As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Obama in his chair reached for the aftershave. Obama was quick to stop him saying, 'No thanks. My wife Michelle will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse.'
The second barber turned to Bush and said, 'How about you, Sir?'
Bush re[plied, 'Go ahead; my wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.'
It is the Soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedonm of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, who salutes the flag; who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag; who allows the protester to burn the flag.
