I'm not saying [Cortland Finnegan] is an angel, but talking trash and getting under the skin of a receiver is part of his position. I have looked at the “punch” sequence [involving Andre Johnson] in slow motion and it was not impressive. That is why Finny was smiling. He should not have been ejected, but penalized for a hand to the facemask. Aggressive play is what it takes. The media thinks Johnson can do no wrong, but they forget when he swung Finny to the ground by his facemask last year and was fined for it. Johnson looked like a fool both times.

Whenever I got, and get physical with someone, I alsways made sure they were either blind or in a wheelchair.

Finnegan has to instigate to mask his pitiful covering skills. Johnson is considered one of the best receivers in the game. Most people look at the episode and laugh...at Finnegan.
Take note though, this will be a trivia question in twenty years..."remember that idiot on the Titans that got beaten down by Johnson...what was his name?"
By chance, there was a NFL "Greatest Game" on last night...The Atlanta Falcons v. Minn. Vikings. (maybe 12 years ago).
Randall Cunningham was the Vikings QB and Moss was the WR, as was Chris Carter.
Moss made all these incredible catches.
Why aren't the Titans USING him? Our regular guys tend to stink.
That was the 98 NFC championship game. The Vikings were supposed to win it all that year but the "dirty birds" ruined the party. Then they got demolished by the Broncos in the Super Bowl.

It's hard to believe that the 49ers, with NINE losses, are not only in the playoff hunt, could win the division.
Just saw that Blake Edwards died Weds. (88). The Pink Panther w/ Peter Sellers rivalled The Three Stooges and Marx Brothers, IMO.
Leslie Neilsen was up there, too.

Finnegan has stopped many, many pass completions that possibly would have ended in a TD. He plays his position very well! g - maybe you would like to stand up to Johnson. Time & place, so we can all be there.

Off subject - That other publication, that claims to be a "newspaper", has a poll about the Fairgrounds, offering 3 options for what Karl wants and 1 for other. If you vote other, your vote isn't registered. This must be another Kerr hair-brained idea.

Reminds me of Redd Foxx. He was on the Tonight Show one night and the topic of his newest (and very young) wife came up. Johnny asked something like, "So, how's an old guy like you end up with a young beautiful wife?". Redd replied without missing a beat, "I don't know. I just opened my wallet and there she was."
