The problem Bud Adams has now is that if he keeps one [man] over the other, he validates the behavior of the one he keeps. That could create a monster. Imagine Vince Young knowing Bud has his back, no matter his tantrums and pouting. Or Jeff Fisher knowing he doesn't have to work with a player he doesn't like for whatever reason. Bud either has to keep both or get rid of both.

The number one thing that would be a major improvement for the Titans would be to get a new owner.

Nemo - You are batting 100%, this AM!

Bud Adams is 88 years old. He flips off the opposing team, he drops his pants, and he makes the game calls from the owner's box, probably while drunk.
Fisher is .530 over 16 NFL seasons.
VY is an embarrassment with his pouts and antics, including suicide attempts or threats.
Sell the whole team and turn LP Field into a flea market.

You fellow are on a roll today! This string may get interesting for
a change.

VY will go, and the titans will draft a QB. Hopefully, Ryan Mallett.

house_of_pain can throw a nasty football.

By: dargent7 on 1/5/11 at 8:45

"Pain" is no Mean Joe Green or a John Matoosik.
I hear "pain" cries when he looses.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/5/11 at 8:50

You got me all wrong dargent.

I mean house works in a lab and when he throws a football, he breaks Petri dish and test tubes. The football is just plain nasty.

By: house_of_pain on 1/5/11 at 8:55

If you think my football is nasty, you should see my endzone celebration.

I wonder what Buds grandson thinks about the situation? As I understand it, he's next in succession, if Bud suddenly departs.

By: dargent7 on 1/5/11 at 9:53

The last thing I'd want is for 'House" , in his lab coat, to come out of a room and ask for a 'swab".
I can here the lawyers now: "My client need to "shave" the volunteer first".

If they do cut VY, hope they have a lot of crying towels handy for everyone there, he will cry rivers.

By: slacker on 1/5/11 at 11:22

bfra, I think Vince told Bud, that Fisher provocatively done the ''hook em' horns'' sign downward.

By: brrrrk on 1/5/11 at 11:56

As far as the VY situation is concerned....

There are some in the league that ARE quarterbacks (guys like Bradley, Roethlisberger, and Manning), these are the guys that are the first at practice and the last to leave, and assume a leadership position without question, for good or bad; and then there are some who like BEING a quarterback, these are the guys that like all the trappings and perks that come along with the position but don't put in the effort.... VY strikes as more the later than the former. The Titans need one of the former.

Young is a young man, brrrrk. He hasn't grown up and matured yet. He's going to learn the hard way.

By: dargent7 on 1/5/11 at 12:28

Young is 27. Roethlisberger is only 28 with 2 Super Bowl rings.
There is a difference.
One's mature and is a leader. The other is a punk.

So how long do we wait?...... times up.

By: bfra on 1/5/11 at 12:41

VY doesn't even put up a good front of trying to be a mature, responsible person, much less a Pro QB.

By: brrrrk on 1/5/11 at 12:55

I've said it before and I'll say it again, what the Titans need right now is a leader on the field. VY is not that guy. Fisher can prep these guys all he wants, but they are still the ones that play the game and they need an effective and reliable leader to get that done. The last REAL leader that the Titans had on the field was Bullock.
