Oh comrade, my comrade

A.C. Kleinheider’s "The Tea Party revolution will likely be betrayed" [The City Paper, April 20], was a masterpiece.

Guess professional conservative is the new buzz/curse term for us anti-socialists. He used it seven times and ‘conservative’ more than that — (14 times). He uses "Right" at least 10 times, so that makes an average of ‘2’ what he considers a derogatory term per paragraph.

This guy is good enough to teach Propaganda 101, to deflect from the rampart spending and social "CHANGE" they are making and "HOPE" we don't notice.

Someone told me a long time ago the way to know what they (the Left) are up to is to listen to what they are accusing others of. They not only want the power but have it and are spending like crazy to insure they keep it.

If someone used the terms socialist/communist Marxist that many times they would be calling it hate/mean spirited speech, even if you just called them lefties or democraps. Way to go, Comrade.

Earth Day food for thought

This Wednesday’s Earth Day observance should encourage every one of us to leave adequate natural resources for our children and grandchildren by making needed changes in our driving, our shopping, our recycling and our diet.

Yes, our diet. A 2006 report by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization blamed meat production for 18 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. That’s more than automobiles!

Moreover, meat and dairy production dumps more animal waste, crop debris, fertilizers, pesticides and other pollutants into our waterways than all other human activities combined. It is the driving force in worldwide deforestation and wildlife habitat destruction.

So, this Wednesday and every day, let’s celebrate Earth Day by replacing meat and other animal products in our diet with a healthful, eco-friendly spread of vegetables, fresh fruits, and whole grains.

Id, you offer the same lunacy as always . You need to educate your self as to what constitutes Socialism , communism and marxism. It's obvious that you don't have a clue.

By: idgaf on 4/21/09 at 5:31

Actually I heard Michael Steele yesterday describe it as collectiveism and that might be the better term for what is going on today.

The bottom line is that we are changeing from what was successful here and got us to where we are to what was unsuccessful in other places. Individuality and personal choice is under attack and being striped from us. There are leaders and follows and it is abundantly clear that the left feel more comfortable being just part of the crowd with no personal accountability and responsibility.

Good morning.

The cartoon looks as if it was from deep with in id's nightmarish head.

Now how many times have have you used the word hate in your frenzy post,id?

As for Nelson Tate letter.

Man can not live on veggies and fruit alone. Howevere I do like a good chicken salad.

By: dargent7 on 4/21/09 at 6:13

Lil' Man Tate: I bet you can count on one hand how many vegetarians post this forum. Make that two fingers. This is the Ted Nugent crowd; a lot of meat, loaded guns, and a well read Bible. And "leaving adequate natural resourses to our children"....we've already spent their money, why not just throw in the Earth too? And the only "gas emmissions" that should immediately be haulted is coming from GOP people like Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich.

From yesterday:

brrrrk said...Statement said at the tea party.

He said with a dazed, confuse look on his face. "Huh...what...we lost? When did that happen???"

Another rat tea bagger was over heard saying, "They promised cheese, if I came. Where is the cheese?"

I'm doing my part by eating as many evil, methane-producing cows as possible.

By: arkay61 on 4/21/09 at 7:14

Personally I like the new scapegoats in the global warming scam: all of you fat a** es.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2387203.ece

I say we take away the cars away from everyone that is over weight and give them a bicycle. Then we put a 50% tax on any food that is not fresh vegetables or produce and a 100% tax on fast food. We could use that revenue to pay for the increase in health care costs that you cause. We can also put monitors at the grocery store to enforce a set quantity of food you will be allowed to purchase per week. I mean, come on, if we are going to target one group's behavior then let's be FAIR and go after everyone's peccadilloes. Spread the misery.

(See, making imbecilic suggestions is easy.)

LaMaison: And may your arteries be clogged more than the I-40 at rush hour.
Just don't vacation in India this summer.

By: pandabear on 4/21/09 at 7:46

Nelson.
Thanks for your incredibly clear explaination of how
meat and dairy products are causing global warming.

NOT !

You should be a comedian with lines like that.

"This morning I feed 300 cows, cleaned out the stalls and
increased the ozone layer by .003 %...film at 11 "

Try using some facts in your articles.

Hint:. Just because you say it's so doesn't make it so.

News Channel 5 Alert:

"McDonalds and Burger King have confessed to
worldwide deforestation and wildlife habitat destruction.
Although reluntant to quit, they have offered to plant
a tree, in MacArthur Park with Jimmy Webb singing, for
every cheeseburger sold between now and....well, forever :) "

By: Captain Nemo on 4/21/09 at 8:09

I thought that cows were the enemy of clean air once. So I eat chicken and fish. Then I realized that these too produced methane, so I ate more veggies. Which by the way is good for you.

Then I thought about all of the wild animals and people in the world eating vegetbles and the methane coming from these source.

Then I got to thinking that God goofed in this design. Then I had a hamburger.

The end.

By: Citizen on 4/21/09 at 8:12

I'm impressed, eleven posts and President Bush has not been mentioned even once. Are you absolutely sure he didn't cause excess methane?

A good day to all.

By: house_of_pain on 4/21/09 at 8:13

"Nemo's indulgence to blame for the increased size of the hole in the ozone, which caused a local One Hour Photo to burn to the ground...no film at 11."

By: Captain Nemo on 4/21/09 at 8:17

So Citizen has to bring up the biggest methane producer of all. George Bush has done more to cause air pololution.

Thank you Critizen.

It has been reported the reason the Obama's had to spend so much money on the maker over at the White House. Is do to the removal of all the left over methaine smell left by the previous occupants. bata boom.

By: house_of_pain on 4/21/09 at 8:45

"George W. Bush is said to be responsible for a respiratory disease moving throughout the country...phlegm at 11."

By: dargent7 on 4/21/09 at 8:46

Bush lovers: Sean Hannity is having an "exclusive" tonight hosting Dick Cheney.
Wasn't Cheney the lowest profile VP in American history? Guy was always at some "undisclosed location" or at the hospital getting a tune up on his pacemakers.
Now, he's on every talk show bashing, complaining, excoriating Obama. And paired with Hannity? After these two talking heads rip Obama to shreads, Barack would be lucky to get waitlisted for a custodian job at WalMart.

Education? Isn't that like kryptonite around here? But God forbid anyone pick up a book and really learn something about this country... both good and bad.

Have you ever noticed how "witchy" in attitude vegetarians seem to be? Replace "w" with an alternative letter for the real word here. My point is, those individuals with balanced diets (meat, fish, veggies, fruit, grains, dairy) seem to be happier with the world.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/21/09 at 10:29

that's a broad statement, girlie.

By: girliegirl on 4/21/09 at 10:36

But it's true, and it's so sad.... my friends are cranky, irritable, scream at everyone and everything, and it's because they're hungry. When they ate meat, they were happier. Go figure. When I did the veggie diet, I was the same way, but at the same time, I was oblivious to my behavior. It was my friends that pointed it out. Granted the stuff in the meat and fish these days is down right frightening, but it still doesn't change the outcome. Hey, it's just our observation....ya know, we girls do talk. LOL Next time someone on TV (Hollywood starlet) is ranting about the food supply, notice who it is, what they're saying, and most of all, what they're eating. It "is" what it is....

By: Blanketnazi2 on 4/21/09 at 10:41

my friends were cranky, irritable and screamed at everyone and everything, and it's because they were thirsty. When they drank beer they were happier. Go figure. When I didn't drink beer, I was the same way, but at the same time I was oblivious to my behavior. It was my friends that pointed it out. Granted the quality of beer these days is downright frightening, it doesn't change the outcome. Hey, just our observation.

By: house_of_pain on 4/21/09 at 10:43

Nice, Blanket.

I'm becoming earth friendly, I had a bowl of cheerios for breakfast.
I intend to turn off my desk lamp for an hour later on, during my nap.

By: slacker on 4/21/09 at 10:53

Beer builds character nazi. Its also made out of grains, very earth friendly.

By: girliegirl on 4/21/09 at 11:05
