GOP smear campaign rolls on

It seems that the Republicans in Congress are not concerned that health care for Americans is threatening our entire existence and are only interested in “breaking Obama.”

After losing control of both houses it has become an overpowering compulsion with them to discredit our President any way they can the health of the nation be hanged.

The GOP is running helter skelter and running amok and almost in ruins due to the lack of leadership and the moral decay of their members of Congress and they have left it up to mouthpiece Rush Limbaugh to run a self-styled propaganda campaign to discredit Obama and his efforts to do something positive for American families.

Well folks, I can tell you it didn't work with Clinton who rescued us from disastrous republican policies and left our nation prosperous, and it will certainly not work with Obama, who is attempting to do the same thing.

If you insist on following the same diverse and erratic paths the GOP will perish from the earth.

C.W. Clouse,

I think these same Republicans torpedoed Hillary's attempt at Health Care reform when she first stepped into the Oval Office. Obama has thicker skin than Clinton. He won't give up as easily. It'll get done, eventually.
As far as the fate of the GOP, don't fear. Wonder woman Palin is on the move, fresh from quitting the Governship of Alaska. So, Republicans can add "QUITTER" to their extensive resume of infidelity, cheats, liars, and hypocrites. Hurray.

Give me a break. TnCare was a disaster as was the experiment in Hiwaii and Mass,

We are on a track, full speed ahead toward socialism with only a trainwreck in our future.

Barry has seized vital industries (banking, insurance and car manufactures) and now trying to seize 1/6 of the national economy. You guys might want to embrace government control of your lives but I don't as do most Americans.

The dems in Congress are so narrowminded in their quest for power they don't even see they are being made irrelevant. He is seizing their power too.

By: idgaf on 7/27/09 at 5:39

7 FYI TnCare was a Hillarycare experiment and we all know where that went.

banakat: By chance, I checked out your post on Sunday. I have a progress report for you. Are you out there today? If not, I don't want to publish it since the other members have no idea what we're doing.

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 6:38

Sarah needs time to write her book.
Shouldn't she read one first?
d7, are you sneaking around with bnakat?

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 7:12

d7 must be too busy diddling his intern to respond.
Where's our verbal cartoon, Nemo?

By: dargent7 on 7/27/09 at 7:26

d'pain: ...speaking of nothing but time on his hands...as a medical doctor ( leaving a sponge in that guy's chest was a mistake any Dr. could make), is bnakat male or female? And don't answer, "Yes".

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 7:37

Not sure. Maybe Loner would know.
I'm just a lab rat, but I bet we could run some tests to find out.

By: dargent7 on 7/27/09 at 7:41

d'pain: Pleaes explain your use of the word, "diddle". Did you mean "fiddle"? I've been played like a "fiddle" before. Same thing?

By: dargent7 on 7/27/09 at 7:45

d'pain: So, you're just a PhD.? Not a real doctor (M.D.)?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 7:48

house, did you go to Inner Asian this weekend?

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 7:50

Not even that. Working at VU is the closest I've been to college.
I work in molecular physiology & biophysics and have no idea what that means.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 7:51

ok, CBS was interviewing Coulter this morning regarding Palin. yeah, that's an icepick to the brain first thing in the morning. Coulter was drooling on and on about how Palin is such an "amazing and powerful speaker."

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 7:52

No, Blanket, the munchkin was getting cranky at the flea market.
I really wanted some kimchi, too.

By: Dragon on 7/27/09 at 8:01

"...health care for Americans is threatening our entire existence..." And the Republicans are accused of scare tactics.

Even Obama is now calling it Health Insurance Reform, dropping the pretext of reforming health CARE. What it really is is a panic that is setting in because Medicare is now upside down (Congress has to repay the trust fund it spent) and needs an excuse to raise taxes. If they can destroy the "rich" class of Americans, so much the better.

By: slacker on 7/27/09 at 8:07

The GOP is threatening our existence, and will perish from the earth, sounds biblical.
Clouse, the Democrats. have control of congress, maybe some of them are also running amok, and helter skelter.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 8:07

Dragon, here's the newsflash. Healthcare will more likely destroy even the rich before taxes would.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 8:08

pretty much everyone is one healthcare emergency away from bankruptcy. with or without insurance.

By: slacker on 7/27/09 at 8:14

I'm one emergency away from running amok.

By: dargent7 on 7/27/09 at 8:17

Look under the "C" word in the dictionary, and there's a picture of Ann Coulter.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 8:20

Some clown wrote a LTE in the Tennessean this morning saying Liberals are jealous because Palin is an "accomplished" woman who is good looking. HA!

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 8:21

slacker I ran amok yesterday and it was good.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 8:22

Titan rookie's hedge needs trimming. Hope he gets on that today while I'm home and can his pecs in action.

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 8:22

Running is bad for your knees.
I prefer to speedwalk amok.

By: Time for Truth on 7/27/09 at 8:22

The "rich" had 8 years to "run amok" while Dumbya played soldier with other peoples' lives (thinking that would make up for his being wasted and AWOL from the reserves years ago?). Their rampant greed sank our economy. Now somebody needs to fix the mess Bush left. Not sure if Obama is up to the task.

Not sure what the solution is but health care is a mess and needs to be fixed as part of a comprehensive solution to all our other problems that were left to fester or were created over the last eight years. The Republican Party has turned into a party of intolerant whiny old women and hypocritical philanderers, with a pompous loser who never ran for office as their de facto leader.

Palin and Coulter are both a waste of oxygen. Perhaps they could form a mud wrestling tag team. I can see the TV ad now, "Battle of the Neanderthal Bimbos!".

LOL - gotta love Ann the Man.

By: slacker on 7/27/09 at 8:32

Funditto, your running amok, demonstrates the power of Sally Field bone pills.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 8:40

And cafffieeennee.

Nazix2: What is truly amazing (scary), is what has become of FOX & Friends/ News...
Mornings used to kinda cool, the anchors are animated and funny. Once Imas got canned and that piece of balsa wood Scarbougher got the job, all they do there is read newspapers, poke fun at Mika, like we can't go on line and do the same.
FOX, "fair&balanced", has nothing but Obama bashers on, the same ones, every day...Dick Morris, Coulter, Newty, Huckabee, and that mental out-patient Glenn Beck. All they do is cross-pollinate their anchors/ commentators. And it wins in the ratings/ stats!! I cannot believe Obama won.

By: dargent7 on 7/27/09 at 8:56

One more rant, then I'm off for gatherin' of the clans...what is this insipid appraisal directed at "the left", from right wing-nuts, that we're "scared", "jealous", "envious", of Sarah Palin?
The woman is pretty, sure. Listen to her Katie Couric interview to refresh any minds how vaucous her intellect is. She was perfectly suited to run a state like Alaska. Besides the TV show Northern Exposure, no one knows what the hell goes on in Alaska, ...or cares.
Palin Nationally? Not a chance. The Republican base can "spin" her resignation as a "good thing", but she's a QUITTER. They can add "quitter" to their vast resume of elected officials, including: adulterers, cheaters, liars, bribes, payoffs, closet homos, and hypocrites. Stunning, at the very least.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 8:58

dargent, that is the same network that decided to air "So You Think You Can Dance" over the president's speech. Seriously!

By: dargent7 on 7/27/09 at 9:05

Nazix2: I think Ann "Long Neck" Coulter should marry Dickless Morris. They are both such pond scum. Sad thing is, Coulter went to University of Michigan, so I'm kinda related. (don't mention the college to Funditto, they hate Northerners).

By: brrrrk on 7/27/09 at 9:21

You constantly hear the "Republicans" beat up the Canadian health care system, mostly in bogus ways.... like using the treatment of patients in rural areas as an indicator of the overall system. But I heard a statistic this weekend that I thought was interesting. A poll was done in Canada, asking Canadians how happy they were with their health care system. In the poll, 69% of Canadians said they were happy with their health care. Doesn't sound too promising, does it. Here's the kicker though. They also asked those same people, "If you had a choice, would you switch to the American health care system". The answer was a resounding NO, at 89%. So even though they know their system could be better, they also know that we have crap!

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 9:30

I love Northerners - just not the ones who think they're smarter than southerners or the way they talk. It irritates me.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 9:38

Funditto, I've been here long enough that my accent has become "southernized." LOL!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 9:39

Is your neighbor trimming the hedges yet? LOL

By: brrrrk on 7/27/09 at 9:40

As a displaced Northerner, I've got to say that I hear that attitude towards Northerners all the time.... it's a two way street Fun..

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 9:49

Funditto, let me know if your neighbor is using a ladies' razor to trim the hedges.
I've seen a commercial that implies the razor is perfect for doing that chore.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 10:04

I'll suggest it to him. He can use mine.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 10:07

True brrrk. Southern redneck accents irritate me far more than Chicaaagooh accents. And I have no patience for the southern drawl.

By: slacker on 7/27/09 at 10:07

brrrrk, whats your opinion of Canadian bacon? I like it , and get angry when I hear Americans putting it down.

Fun: You know what irritates me? Southerners who dropped out of High Scool in the 8th grade. Like, that's an option, and supported, in the southern states.
Kiddin' me?

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 10:17

Blanket & Fun: have you seen the commercial I'm talking about? Hilarious.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 7/27/09 at 10:21

no, not that i recall, house....

By: Time for Truth on 7/27/09 at 10:24

For another 'viewpoint' from Ann Coulter check out www.youtube.com/watch?v=smSQ9y-N30E.

Just for you, id....

By: house_of_pain on 7/27/09 at 10:25

As women walk by unruly shrubbery, it becomes perfectly trimmed (different shapes, no less). The ad kinda beats around the 'bush', but their message is obvious.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 10:27

I haven't seen that. Was it on the playboy channel or something? Maybe fox news?

By: brrrrk on 7/27/09 at 10:28

slacker said

Anything with the word bacon connected to it is OK with me.

By: Funditto on 7/27/09 at 10:28

Dargent, that doesn't irritate me, that depresses me!
