Relieve his pain over health care reform

I wish that the television and radio talk show hosts, both right and left, and the TV pundits would give it a rest for a while concerning the health care reform issue and let our lawmakers do their jobs.

Depending who you are listening to, they already know whether we will get a bill passed or not. If you are listening to Fox News or Rush (Limbaugh), it's already dead. If you are listening to NBC then it's very much alive and well and on the way to becoming law.

This is what confuses the elderly and the uneducated and why you see and hear the near panic in their voices and eyes when you talk to one of them about it.

Insurance reform is coming to get me! Aaaaaaaa!

By: idgaf on 10/15/09 at 4:42

dooley not all want socialized medicine and trust the government to take care of them like you leftys do.

An open debate is bad WHY? You believe in free speech as long as you agree with what is being said.

By: dooley on 10/15/09 at 5:05

Id you are on socialized medicine . What a hypocrite .

By: dooley on 10/15/09 at 5:08

All don't want it but the majority does. The ones that don't are already on it or are lying about the need..

By: dargent7 on 10/15/09 at 5:11

The O'Rielley Factor had Dick (less) Morris on last night. His dad's birthday was yesterday, turned 99. Morris said he had a colostomy at 95, ie., now has a "bag".
Under ObamaCare, dad would of been refused the procedure 'cause he didn't have enough "levels" of chits or something, and would be dead. Hates ObamaCare, oh, and Obama too. I can't figure this one out. Need to read the 1,300 page bill when I have a free weekend.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/15/09 at 5:39

Good morning.

lol house.

By: Funditto on 10/15/09 at 5:41

The naysayers are fine and dandy with for-profit companies deciding what care they get and don't understand that when the bottom line is stake, they are more likely to be turned down than not.

I've yet to hear a person on Medicaid/Medicare complaining about denied coverage. But you hear it all day from folks who pay huge premiums to fund the stockholders. Go figure.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/15/09 at 5:43

From yesterday.

I would plant pine cone seed and then have a beer.

By: Kosh III on 10/15/09 at 5:44

"An open debate is bad WHY? You believe in free speech as long as you agree with what is being said."

So far it's not been an honest debate. Lies are being told left and right but mostly on the right. That's the concern. One example: there is no such thing as "death panels."

By: dargent7 on 10/15/09 at 5:52

Any House "bill", 1,300 pages long that nobody voting on has read, is the new Einsteinian definition of "insanity". All these Congressmen have "staffers" give them bullet points for the press and Cliff Notes so they can posture and postulate.
Even today, don't know what the "public option" is all about. But, unlike Bill Reilley, I didn't pay $30,000 for a Master's at Harvard. I got one for .10c on the dollar from Michigan.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/15/09 at 5:54

If there was such a thing as "death panels", I would reconmend the fringe ranting radicals.

But that is not the plan.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/15/09 at 5:57

I read War and Peace. Not really I saw the movie.

By: Kosh III on 10/15/09 at 6:03

I did read W&P :)

This is another dishonesty. There are multiple bills being proposed by both the House and Senate. Yet to hear the Party of No tell it, there is just one unread 1300 page bill.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/15/09 at 6:17

The good news from yesterday. The NFL says NO TO RUSH!

By: slacker on 10/15/09 at 7:03

Who wrote the 1300 page bill, that nobody has completely read?

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 7:04

Kudos to the prospective St. Louis ownership group for recognizing the skunk in the shed.

Had Mr. Oxycontin not opened his mouth about McNabb a few years ago, I doubt anyone would really care. But considering the ratio of African-Americans that play in the NFL, an outwardly bigoted owner is the last thing the NFL wants, or needs.

I did slacker. It came to me during my migraine. I did sign it under the alias "Mr. Mojo Risin".

Did the Indian in the loin cloth help?

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 7:10

He couldn't make it House. He was on dawn's highway bleeding.

By: sidneyames on 10/15/09 at 7:14

Clouse, you're watching too much t.v. Don't believe half of what you read and none of what the t.v. reports. They are a joke. All of them: ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN and all of them. They say what's they are being PAID TO SAY. Haven't you figured that out by now?

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 7:16

So...If I only read one book, does that mean that half of it isn't to be believed? Which half?

By: slacker on 10/15/09 at 7:24

gdiafante, if you wrote it, its filled with the Beatles song lyrics. That ''Yellow Submarine'' line is making the old folks nervous.

By: house_of_pain on 10/15/09 at 7:28

Where do the Blue Meanies fit in?

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 7:31

Busted.

I suppose that you guessed the section entitled "Norweigan Wood" was dealing with illegal aliens, erectile dysfunction and whether or not the government would foot the bill for supplying medication.

It really is my best work since I wrote an episode of "90210"...

By: house_of_pain on 10/15/09 at 7:40

Of course, 650 pages of the bill is total B.S...

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 7:40

Haven't you read the healthcare swindle bill on the web site yet? Oh, it isn't posted on the web like Obama said all of his legislation was going to be. Would that be called a lie?

Good thing this power grap bill doesn't go into effect until 2013. That will be enough time for the Republican Congress that will be elected in 2010 to kill it.

We have a depression going on and all Obama can think to do is make it worse and exploit it to gain more power. Cap and Trade should kill the economy once and for all. Then everyone will be equaly poor except for the liberal government officals. We will then be just like the old Soviet Union, just what the liberals want to see.

It is the perfect Mad Hat Hatter Tea Party result that the two bigest racists in America, Jackson and Sharpton, stopped a non-racists from buying a football team.

Maybe ACORN should have gotten invovled.

I have been gone from this web site for some time. It seems you liberals kooks have only gotten worse.

I see rehab didn't help Daddy Yo much.

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 7:44

D'Argent - you got what you paid for with a masters degree at Michigan. I think a masters from Michigan is equal to an Associates degree from Tennessee Tech.

Bragging about where you got a masters only devalues that degree.

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 7:45

Blanket - I see you are still a Nazi.

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 7:47

"We have a depression going on and all Obama can think to do is make it worse and exploit it to gain more power."

Really? A depression? I think almost all economists would disagree. The ones who would agree got their economic degree online. Oh, and he's the President, exactly how much more power can he get? World leader? I know that's where you're headed. Make sure you reinforce your tinfoil hat on the way...

"Then everyone will be equaly poor except for the liberal government officals. We will then be just like the old Soviet Union, just what the liberals want to see."

Hmmm...interesting...especially considering how people have lost more wealth due to the previous 10 years or so than in the last nine months. Yes, it's much better when government serves corporations and the wealthy. That is welfare you can count on!

"It is the perfect Mad Hat Hatter Tea Party result that the two bigest racists in America, Jackson and Sharpton, stopped a non-racists from buying a football team."

Really? Did you pay close attention to Commissioner Goodell's remarks yesterday and unless I'm mistaken, the owner of the St. Louis Blues is responsible for removing Rush from the potential ownership group. Nice try though.

" have been gone from this web site for some time. It seems you liberals kooks have only gotten worse."

You were gone? Didn't notice.

By: slacker on 10/15/09 at 7:48

I think a lot of sportswriters were, and still are, reluctant to criticize Donovan McNabb. But Limbaugh should have had enough savvy not say it on ESPN.

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 7:54

He had a point about McNabb, but he made the case about his race. I don't think anyone in the media cares about his race. VY is black, I don't see the media fawning over him...in fact some, like Merrill Hoge, have trashed him from day one.

He's just a player the media latched onto and they end up being his apologist. They do the same thing over Favre. The guy could throw 10 interceptions in one quarter and they would only focus on a perfect two yard out to the RB.

By: house_of_pain on 10/15/09 at 8:04

I wouldn't want the NFL to get mixed up with any political commentators.
It would be a disservice to the game.

By: dargent7 on 10/15/09 at 8:13

Daddy-O: If you people can "bragg" about your relationship with farm animals, vegetables, tractors, and guns in bars, I can mention my resume'.
People already knew it 9 months ago. O'Reilley just now mentions his $30,000 Harvard Master's.

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 8:15

Hmm, how much more power than the president? Try dictator.

I guess those economists have jobs. Ask the unemplyed if they feel like it is a depression.

People lost wealth due to the last ten years of liberals affecting the free market in real eastate and real estate financing. Don't you know about the Clinton era CRA, Freddie and Fannie and ACORN?

What do you call the Obama bail out of the financial industry and the purchase of the automotive industry to give to the unions? I guess it isn't called corporate welfare when you bankrupt an industry so you can take it over.

There is no such thing as corporate welfare. Corporations work for a living. People on welfare are just slaves to the government who put them on welfare and keep them there.

The Blues owner was just pressured by the racist Obama model "community activisits".

By: girliegirl on 10/15/09 at 8:16

Hey Sid, RD's throwing a party...so far he has sent out 5K invitations. Yes, I'm going to need to be medicated now....hmmm...do they sell quarter dispensers w/Prozac in them?

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 8:18

Are you peopel just dumb or dishonest.

Rush voice an opinion about McNabb's race. He vioced an opinion about his lack of ability.

Rush said the "press" cared about McNabs race. You people are just intentionaly stupid.

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 8:19

D'Argent - You people? You know I'm black. That is a racist statement.

By: slacker on 10/15/09 at 8:19

I think Limbaugh should be allowed to invest his money in whatever he chooses, but the commish & owners realized a firestorm was on the way.
Easiest way out was to dump Limbaugh, I don't blame them, a lost cause from the beginning. His owner pals should have anticipated, the results.

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 8:23

HOP - yeah, football is such an ethical sport. I guess you are okay with the players being drug addits, crooks, adulters and animal abusers but heaven forbid them from expressing political opinions.

What kind of example to the youth of America would it be for a football player to be intellegent?

By: DaddyYo on 10/15/09 at 8:24

Slacker - I blame them. Footbal is a stupid sport for ignorant people. This just proves my point.

By: gdiafante on 10/15/09 at 8:27

"Footbal is a stupid sport for ignorant people."

$100 for anyone that sees the irony in Daddy's post...anyone?

Anyone?

Beuller?

"There is no such thing as corporate welfare."

Bwahahahahahahaaha!!!!!!!!

By: slacker on 10/15/09 at 8:27

DaddyYo, your gibberish is as silly, and lame as mine. But I can spell better than you. Go away.

By: chiefpayne568 on 10/15/09 at 8:28

I guess socialized medicine is SOOO good!

Nothing wrong with the sport, itself.
There are clods in every job description.
I only tune in to watch them play football.

By: chiefpayne568 on 10/15/09 at 8:29

No problem about Rush not getting the team. He's already taking legal action to get retractions and apologies for the out-right lies said about him.

A lot of crow is going to be eaten soon, I suspect.
