Going away? Not likely

After quitting as Alaska's governor, Sarah Palin's new book, Going Rogue, arrives on bookshelves in November. "Rogue" was her affectionate nickname as the VP candidate during John McCain's failed Presidential run.

I guess it was so cute and fit her that she's capitalizing on it's success.

Known as the champion of the GOP's position to derail and cause failure with anything President Obama says or does, she coined the phrase, "Death Panels" to describe his health care reform project. And, if after listening to her speak, if your own child doesn't have "Down Syndrome," you actually feel guilty.

I wonder if she has a chapter in her book, "How to Quit Your Job," or "How to Let Everyone Down"?
Instead of "going rogue," I wish she'd just go away.

Mr. D'Argent: I will refrain from a critique of your sardonic literary offering, and simply make an observation: A number of people have children with a genetic disorder. Your unkind reference to this specific disorder in the above letter can only elicit less than favorable emotions from people effected. You have belabored the subject in posts on this board, and we are somewhat accustomed to your insensitivity's. Many who read a published letter might be hurt by such thoughtlessness. Everyone does not share your position on killing the "unfit" unborn.

Your flippant remark in the LTE was probably not intended to cast a negative connotation on the syndrome, but your education, and prolific writing should have better disciplined you.

Good morning.

In the hall on the second day of vidilance an ever watching underling stood by the closet door. Another underling walks up and asks, "Any changes"?

"He wanted his fuzzy little chief hand puppet".

"Oh no", said the second man. "It is worse than I thought".

By: Captain Nemo on 10/22/09 at 3:20

David Letterman said that he got an early copy of Palin's book, but he quit read halfway throught.

By: Captain Nemo on 10/22/09 at 3:30

oops. What is a vidilance?

By: house_of_pain on 10/22/09 at 5:02

Nemo knows what "vidilance" is. You betcha. *wink, wink*

Well, the wifey has last minute work obligations, had to postpone leaving until this afternoon, so...with a little time to kill...

"Mr. D'Argent: I will refrain from a critique of your sardonic literary offering..."

Sounds like a critique to me...to quote the wonderful George Carlin, "No comment is a comment".

Darg, nice letter. There is a parody of this book being released on the same day, entitled "Going Rouge: An American Nightmare" that you should take a look at. I wonder how many crazy Conservatives will "accidentally" purchase the wrong one...lol

Gd: I learned a long time ago to never mess with Italian-Americans. (no one's seen "Loner" since he told you to "lick it") And, if I'm ever on "Who Want's to be a Millionaire", expect yourself to be on my "Phone a Friend" speed dial.

By: gdiafante on 10/22/09 at 6:25

Loner's a good guy, just overreacts sometimes. I'm not worried...

"bnakat": You got a great way, with your underhanded put down and insult to make your point, that however, get's lost in your bombast.
Palin is "on tape", saying, "The world needs more Trigs"....that she was "fortunate" to find out he has "Down Syndrome", and "thrilled" to find out she was pregnant at 43. ( doesn't know how the "birds & bees" operate, either does her daughter, Bristol).
If that woman had a head-on collision with a firetruck, she'd be "thrilled" because the water was already there to put out the flames.

D7 has mused: "I wonder if she(SP) has a chapter in her book, "How to Quit Your Job,"

Well, who give a flying squirrel nut what SP has in her book? The most pressing issue for me is: WHAT does O'bama have in his book of tricks? Latest news from "PAY" Czar is that 90% of upper level execs will be cut from their pay.

bnakat, you are so much more articulate than I am and you are not "nasty" in your remarks. I'm on the same page as you when it comes to making fun of any disability and/or killing 3 months old, in the womb babies that D7 defines as tadpoles.

I ask the Abortion advocates one question and beg for an answer: Why didn't your mother abort you? And what makes you so angry with life that you want to shut out little unborn babies from having the opportunity to live the live that you have lived, and continue to live? IF it made sense to me, I would not ask. So give me a logical answer D7 and advocates.

Don't tell me about 70,000 women who chose to obtain a dangerous procedure. Tell me about the millions of babies that did not survive.

By: sidneyames on 10/22/09 at 6:34

And D7 you are jealous of SP because you can't get a book deal. That's it. You're jealous. Ohhhh, it shows through every word. You are transparent.

By the way, I have a book deal.

By: gdiafante on 10/22/09 at 6:38

She's a gimmick...a catch phrase...all style and no substance...

She's so worried about the direction of the country she quit her job and wrote a book. You can't get more American than that.

My God, for some reason I want to go shoot a moose...

Gd: Better rent a helicopter. Palin always want's a fair fight between "man and animal". That's why she shoots from the air. Gives the sorry bastards a fair chance.

Ames, aka, Numb-Nuts: "Little unborn babies"....why do you insist on turning a 5 week old zygote into a Norman Rockwell painting?
And Palin said, "on-tape" in instances of rape and/ or incest,..."she'd provide counseling". The reporter pusher her further.."a black man raping a white woman?"..."Counseling". Good luck, Ames.

By: slacker on 10/22/09 at 7:19

Tough crowd, I'm for making easy money myself. Remember Wing, created her unforgettable sound, suitable for cd's, for all the world to appreciate, and she quit her job at the nail salon, without giving notice.
Gdiafante goodbye again. I was returning home from Kroger's, and passed a grizzled old guy driving a postal truck on hwy. 100, beware.
Sidney, I bet your book is about medicinal herbs, you know you have always wanted to expound on that. Don't forget to mention that liquorice can elevate blood pressure.

By: Funditto on 10/22/09 at 7:19

Sarah has to take a radical stand on abortion. It's her one and only bandwagon. She's proven time and time again she knows nothing at all about anything else. No point in even arguing that.

By: idgaf on 10/22/09 at 7:27

She certainly scares the heck out of the left.

Can't say I blame them I would rather run against hucklberry hound or Romney too.

By: slacker on 10/22/09 at 7:31

idgaf, Huckleberry is actually leading in the repub. polls, at the moment.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/22/09 at 7:33

id, she does scare the left but not in the way you imagine.

By: slacker on 10/22/09 at 7:34

The left mocking Palin, is making her wealthy. Who knows, she might try to buy part interest in an NFL team.

Open the door several times to see it all. Open the windows too.

By: gdiafante on 10/22/09 at 7:35

"She certainly scares the heck out of the left."

Only in the sense that she's not very smart...underqualified, an extremist and, for lack of a better term, quite nuts.

I would think that the left would actually welcome Palin as the GOP nomination in 2012...Most Conservatives of sound mind won't vote for her.

By: gdiafante on 10/22/09 at 7:36

Slacker, you're right. She's now an opportunist, capitalizing on her 15 minutes. If the GOP had properly vetted her, she'd probably still be watching Russia from her back yard.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/22/09 at 7:42

Kosh, that's hilarious!

By: slacker on 10/22/09 at 7:49

nemo, just kidding, don't be pissed at me, I know your on the wagon until Nov.

By: gdiafante on 10/22/09 at 7:50

I wouldn't oppose her owning the Preds...she might actually give Poile the green light to SIGN A SCORER.

A man can dream, can't he?

By: idgaf on 10/22/09 at 7:52

Hucklebe would be nuts to give up what he has going for him now to run.

He is just another RINO.

btw Palin will be on oprah on th 16th. That should be real interesting.

Well, Captain, D7 is an animal - hee-haw! hee-haw! Get it?

Sidney, I bet your book is about medicinal herbs, you know you have always wanted to expound on that. Don't forget to mention that liquorice can elevate blood pressure.

Slacker, no it's ALL about ME! ha, ha, ha. I don't have a book deal. Just joking with D7.

AND speaking of D7

Numb-nuts? D7 that the name my brother calls me. oHHHHH. Please don't tell me you are my long lost brother? OH my gosh! I think D7 and I are related. He even said "5 week old zygot" and that's what my bro says all the time.

Is that you Scotty?

Are we finally speaking?

By: slacker on 10/22/09 at 7:55

gdiafante, SCORER, Sarah's daughter, ex-boyfriend Hockey player, David Letterman.
There is a joke in there somewhere.

I can't believe Id isn't watching The View or a Lifetime movie right now...

By: chiefpayne568 on 10/22/09 at 7:58

Dargent,

Sorry but the chapter "How to Let Everyone Down" will have to be in Obama's book. So many political promises made, so few promises kept.

By: chiefpayne568 on 10/22/09 at 7:59

Yeah, I heard that Palin will be on Oprah. Guess she's trying to boost her ratings.

No matter, I'm still not watching so it means nothing to me.

By: gdiafante on 10/22/09 at 8:00

Down boy! Down!!

He's been President less than a year, I know the sky's falling and all, but try to keep yourself together, Chief.

By: chiefpayne568 on 10/22/09 at 8:03

Gdia,

Most transparent Administration ever. Legislation will be posted on internet 5 days before being signed.

Alien and the Predator movies scares the heck out of the left. Palin and idgaf are jokes to laugh at.

By: slacker on 10/22/09 at 8:04

Sidney, I am so embarrassed. I just called Barnes & Noble, asking for your book, and they said they didn't have it. I would appreciate it, if you didn't mislead me like that again in the future.

By: Funditto on 10/22/09 at 8:04

Palin scares EVERYONE, not just the left. Imagine her being president. If that doesn't make you very, very nervous than there is something very, very wrong with your mind.

By: chiefpayne568 on 10/22/09 at 8:08

Or how about:

Promised to end bipartisanship in Washington
Elimination of capital gains tax for small businesses
Hiatus on 401(k) penalties
Loosen the grip of lobbyists on Washington

By: chakracon on 10/22/09 at 8:09

It speaks volumes to me that dargent refers to women as "assholes, idiots, fat ass, loser...." This supposed 6'3," 217#, Sylvan Park living white man would have you think that he is one of the smartest men in the world. Nasty, mean spirited people are not smart. Your lack of empathy, sympathy and kindness negates any smarts you may possess. You're probably 5'5" w/a 29" inseam and a buried penis.
