Maverick back in the barn

Former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, just wrapped up her whirlwind book tour. From all accounts it was a rousing success, drawing standing-room-only lines everywhere she went. The book sold millions, set all kinds of records, and didn't drop in price to $4.79 until the second week of publication.

I didn't buy the book on principle. The public's fascination and blind faith to this woman is astounding.

Palin can take any event that most of us would call "tragic" and spin it into a wonderful, positive experience we all should envy. Her 16-year-old unwed daughter getting pregnant for instance, and she herself at 44. Finding out her child had Downs Syndrome she declined an abortion and now parades the boy around as a badge of honor.

Bristol's relationship has ended with Levi, soon after her mom's failed VP run. Or maybe his posing nude in Playgirl ruined the blessed event?

Now Palin claims to have no interest in running for president in 2012, or at least claims to not know, which I believe. Anyone who doesn't know what's lying on their coffee table, night stand or arriving in the mail, probably isn't up to knowing where the Oval Office is either.

I always get worried about my cooking when I put down some of it for the cats and they make scraching motion around it like they are covering something the sand box. Makes me think that I may have posion myself.

Sidney, that's TOYOTA, not Honda. And no, I haven't eaten at that place in the market. I'll check it out though.

oops! Mama, sorry! Well, they both have an "o" in them. And are they both --- awh, never mind. I goofed. Glad you don't have one.

Yep, the Jamican food is awesome.

I have a question: Is it too early to plant seeds in starter pots in a warm area of the house? I want an early garden this year.

By: slacker on 1/28/10 at 3:55

pain, wasn't he zealous about handguns?
Might have accidently caught a paw in a trigger guard.

By: DustyU on 1/28/10 at 3:56

capt - cats are definitely finicky eaters - you probably forgot the Chrystal and candlelight :)

By: house_of_pain on 1/28/10 at 3:58

sid, I brought my potted plants inside in October, banana peppers & roma tomatoes, they both died.

Or he may have crashed his tank, slacker.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 1/28/10 at 3:58

anyone want to give sid some seeds for her garden?

By: house_of_pain on 1/28/10 at 3:59

"Thou shalt not cast thy seed upon the stone."

By: DustyU on 1/28/10 at 4:00

Sid - depends on what you are starting - general rule of thumb > full grown plants generally don't survive transplanting well enough to produce > so it's a judgment call - seems a little early to me though :)

By: slacker on 1/28/10 at 4:00

My seed is sacred.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 1/28/10 at 4:01

sacred or scared? making sure there's no typo.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/28/10 at 4:01

That is true, Dusty. I'm not big old Chrystal.

Why don't you try it anyway, can be another hobby.

Gonna try it in my green house room; plants are still alive there. We shall see after this weekend.

Hope next door neighbor's dog makes it. They keep him outside. He's got a dog house, but I'm nervous. I let him stay with us last time and he was agressive with my dog and chewed up the dog bedding. Can't have that again. Roy gets mad at ME for being nice to other people's pets. He's jealous!
