Maybe from an exaggerated sense of importance the tea baggers are reticent as corporate insurers divert patient’s funding from the Health Care Reform Law in order to reap millions more in profit. And still the insurers say that no matter what Congress thought or said, they are not going to let sick dying children have health coverage without a fight, a part of the reasoning behind Health Care Reform beginning with Harry Truman back in the 40s.
Meantime, Republican state lawmakers are attempting to overturn the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed by Congress to cover these children and others with pre-existing conditions. All the while 76 percent of Americans “profess” to be Christian, which would include the majority of the tea baggers and Republicans.
But these “professionals” bring into play the separation of church and state when it comes to ministering to the sick, saying that’s for the church. Though at the same time they are petty bargaining to have the Ten Commandments including “Thy Shall Not Kill” put in secular judicial Courthouses that honor the death penalty and pre-emptive wars killing thousands.
And whose I don’t know, but a copied (pillaged without proper credit) text of the Bible placed in public schools wedging the plurality and tolerance of young minds in a catch-22. From such political hoodwinking the U.S. now ranks 18th out of 30 industrial nations in secondary education, 25th out of 30 in math and 24th in science. Many have even forgotten wisdom’s old proverb, “Do unto other as you would have them do unto you."
But however be it, don’t let a bunch of cranks mechanically desensitize us to the point where we become uncaring of others and unable to distinguish that 2+2=4, only to be more easily used to further their purpose.

Not one for piling on and ridiculing the less fortunate and clinically brain dead, but yesterday Loner mentioned the type of coffee he was drinking and used cream and sugar.
Nazix2 quipped a line from "Airplane!" about how she takes hers.
You really have to read "Sidiot's" post to realize how "out there" she is.

"It's one thing to oppose reform but to oppose just even talking about reform in front of the American people and having a legitimate debate, that's not right," the president said in Ottumwa, Iowa. "The American people deserve an honest debate on this bill."
Indeed it IS, Mr. President....so where were these comments when the debate about HealthCare were going on? They seem rather displaced being mentioned here as this debate has been quite public.
Nemo,
You mean no one voted for him in Mississippi?

Bn, I am drinking half Costa Rican Tarrazo and half Mexican Organic Pluma, with cream and sugar.
sounds good. however, i like my coffee like i like my men - strong and black. LOL!
Blanket, cream and sugar? Sounds a little beige or tan. Strong and black would be sans cream & sugar, wouldn't it?
Posssibly I meant to say "without" C&S.
But I was not responding to Loner's coffee choice; I was responding to Blanket's. Get your story straight, if you are able to, D7.

Capt. D7 minus 7 equals a ZERO is not only an idiot, he is a lying idiot. He says "truce" and 3 to 4 minutes later, he uses the white flag of peace to whip his bady little buttocks. He's a whinney-binney who can't stand people who are not on his team.
oh heck; gotta go to work.
Good morning, Nashville!
The LTE is not well written, it rambles rather incoherently; I don't really get the writer's point. I guess that he hates the tea baggers, phony Christians and all sitting politicians as well as the health care industry and the educational industry. Lots of angst here, but no solutions offered.
Bn asked about my choice of coffee, D7, I replied; does that makes us "less fortunate" and "clinically brain dead"? Perhaps we are not worthy?

lol gov
House, that flies in the face of Gov. Bredesen's favorite program, his "marijuana eradication program". The high falutin Gov. has come a long way since his care-free days in Shortsville, NY; the zealous carpetbagger has put a lot of reefer smokers behind bars for what I'm sure he has "experimented" with as an upstate NY youth.
Screw the "medical" aspect, just legalize and tax its sales.....decriminalize what the Creator gave us on the Third Day...see Genesis 1:11.

I don't understand why Reid is trying to destroy the negotiations in committee by introducing a partisan bill. Is this merely an excuse to say Republicans are obstructing Obama's agenda?
Dragon,
Only thing I can figure is to give him something to use for campaign purposes. He's getting close to election time and is severely behind his opponent.
Thanks Loner.

Dragon, it is not an excuse to say that the GOP is obstructing Obama's agenda; everybody with an IQ over 50 can see that the Republicans are in lock-step as they march around the Capital screaming, "NO! NO! NO!" They are becoming increasingly irrelevant as they sink lower and lower into the mire and muck of Neo-McCarthyism. Reachng out to the Sarah Palin crowd has its drawbacks; thankfully, most voters see the demagoguery for what it is...sour grapes and sore loseritis.
Loner, the Gov. is a lame duck, and somebody up on the hill is thinking with something other than their Bible, for a change. Check out the 'Top stories' section(NCP).
Gotta love the way liberals/progressives/socialist use religion when it suits their cause.
btw a "teabagger" is a liberal homosexual that you use as a derogatory term which shows your hidden contempt for them as you have in the past branding people like Condi Rice as a homosexual like it is a scarlet letter.
Your continous use of the race card shows the same thing.
To you both are "usefull idiots".

I am not against legalizing medical marijuana, but then the shady drs. have another source of income. Getting paid for prescriptions.
Loner,
I'm not sure you can say they are becoming increasingly irrelevant...particularly if you look at the political dynamic at this time. From all appearances, it's likely the GOP will reclaim control of the House in November. Now I doubt they will reclaim the Senate...but it's still a remote possibility.
We;ll see at any rate.
