6 p.m. Friday. David Johnson, senior counsel to the attorney general of Virginia, will discuss and sign his book Douglas Southall Freeman, a leading figure in the Civil War.

11 a.m. Saturday. Davis-Kidd presents Local Author Day featuring Nashville-area authors Donald Trauger signing his book Horse Power to Nuclear Power, the story of the five decades of nuclear energy development, and poet Bob Musante signing his book Touching Earth and Spirit.
