Art & Invention Gallery (1106 Woodland St., 226-2070) presents SCENT: An Art Experiment. Artists were given essential oils to use daily; each created a piece of art based solely on the thoughts, emotions or images evoked by the scent. The Tennessee Art League (808 Broadway, 736-5000) presents Central South Art Exhibition. One of the premier jury art exhibitions in the South. Opens today, 10 a.m. Gallery hours 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday. Through July 28.
