This benefit isn't just for the birds

Bird and music lovers alike gathered at the Roundabout Plaza recently to get a sneak peek at birdhouses designed by top country music singers, local artists and community leaders.

The birdhouses will be auctioned from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Mall at Green Hills to benefit the W.O. Smith Music School, a nonprofit program that provides music education to children from low income families.

Such stars as Brooks & Dunn, Wynonna, Faith Hill and Tim McCraw lent their creative powers for the cause. To purchase tickets or for more information call 255-8355.
