10th annual mule show in Shelbyville

The 10th annual Great Celebration Mule and Donkey Show begins at 8 a.m. today in Shelbyville and will run until Saturday. This show is packed full of various events sure to keep visitors busy through the day, either by learning about these animals or through being entertained by the competitions. The Jack and Jenny Yearling contest begins at 8 a.m. today as well as the Youth Western Showmanship class. Costume classes, catch-and-ride classes, obstacle races and others will be offered throughout Friday and Saturday also. Contests include all types of mules; 900 animals are expected to be there. There will even be a watermelon crawl at 5 p.m. today. The annual barbecue will be from 5-7 p.m. tomorrow; cost is $5. Saturday
