Daylily days

No plant heralds the beginning of summer like the daylily. And like many gardeners, Nashvillian Jay Turman grew up enjoying the majesty of these summer glories.

From his early days as a young boy exploring greenery to gardening around his West Nashville home with his wife Peggy, Jay sees daylilies as a terrific addition to his landscape. In fact, his garden is full of them, and at last count he had hundreds of daylily plants filling his front, side and backyard. Come mid-June, his garden is a drive-by wonder.
