Decorating is a piece of cake

Kathy Wise's career as a professional cake baker started as a youngster watching her mother teach frosting decorating classes in their kitchen to the other neighborhood mothers. In college, she used the confectionary skill to manage the stress of her economics classes by baking personalized treats to give away to friends. After completing Opryland Culinary Institute, Wise started a wedding and special occasion cake business out of her home.

But after more than a decade, the culinary magician grew frustrated having to turn to the Internet to find the latest tools and trimmings she needed to stay cutting edge in the cake and candy industry.
