Hair-raising haunts and frightful delights await visitors at Ford Motor Company’s Ghouls at Grassmere. The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere’s Halloween celebration is back with nine nights of “spooktacular” fun, Oct. 14 to 16, 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.
Ghouls at Grassmere is designed to appeal to families with children ages 12 and younger. Halloween activities include 20 trick-or-treat stations along Trick-or-Treat Trail, games at Carn-Evil and rides on the Haunted Hayride and Scary-Go-Round. Guests can wander through the Gypsy Mystery Maze, take in an animal show at Monsterpiece Theater or visit the Zoo’s Historic Home for a tour showcasing the dying traditions and superstitions of the late 1800s.
The city of Gatlinburg will be at Ghouls on Friday, Oct. 14, and Saturday, Oct. 15, with free snow tubing, taffy, giveaways and demonstrations from professional skiers. Additionally, guests can visit Ghouls at Grassmere on Sundays (Oct. 16, 23 and 30) and meet the characters from Gaylord Opryland’s ICE! featuring DreamWorks’ Merry Madagascar.
Ghouls at Grassmere is $12 for members and $15 for non-members, and includes all activities, rides and parking. Tickets purchased before Oct. 14 receive a $2 discount.
Advance tickets can be purchased at www.nashvillezoo.org until Oct. 14 or at the zoo’s Guest Services hut every day before 3 p.m.
