Babysitting safely: The American Red Cross is offering babysitter training classes to help young entrepreneurs make money and keep kids safe this summer. The class will cover medical emergency responses including rescue breathing and CPR. Feeding and diapering techniques, recognizing age-appropriate toys, and the importance of using gloves and hand washing will also be discussed. The classes will be held at 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the American Red Cross, 2201 Charlotte Ave. The cost is $45. To register call 250-4276.
