Backyard barbecuers, cue up.

Family and friends will relish traditional dishes whether at a tailgate picnic in the country, a family gathering on a freshly mowed green lawn or a neighborhood potluck supper. Brightly colored tablecloths will display stuffed eggs, fried chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, sliced red-ripe tomatoes and corn on the cob. Chances are good, though, that barbecued pork will be the main attraction.

Red-stained, tattered and sworn-to-be-the-best pork recipes will be resurrected from the well-used file box for the occasion. You might also decide to break tradition, experimenting with a recipe clipped from the newspaper or one in that new cookbook you got for Christmas.
