Regions Bank, Tennessee State University and American Legacy magazine are partnering to celebrate Black History Month by bringing a renowned national African-American history exhibit to town and offering free admission.

On Monday, Feb. 7, Regions and TSU will present American Legacy magazine’s “Know Your History” Mobile Tour to Nashville.  The exhibit-on-wheels features artifacts, memorabilia and photographs portraying both past and current contributions of African-Americans.

"Know Your History” will be stationed at TSU outside Eppse Hall (at the corner of Albion St. and 33rd Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Nashville has such a vibrant African-American community and a rich history to explore,” Jim Schmitz, Middle Tennessee Area president for Regions, said in a release.

Visitors to the exhibit can trace their ancestry through census records and test their knowledge on a “Black History Trivia Wheel.”  Guests will recognize the familiar faces of those such as Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X and Rosa Parks, while also learning the stories of less-recognizable unsung heroes from the past and present.
