Viking Culinary Arts Center presents pasta sauces

Tonight at 6:30 Sandi Heflin will present a demonstration on pasta preparation. Her style reflects a preference for light, fresh sauces as well as the ability to make use of the ingredients available from your local market or pantry. Borrowing from the cuisines of Venice, Rome and Sardinia, Sandi creates a culinary tour of Italy. Her menu will include penne with prosciutto, asparagus and Parmesan cream sauce, lasagnette of wild mushoom sauce, fusilli with zucchini, thyme and fresh tomato, and basil and caper sauce with spaghetti. Emily Dickinson tribute tonight at The Renaissance Center

At 7 tonight the MTSU School of Music presents Emily Dickinson in Song as a part of The Renaissance Center Recitals in the Rotunda Series. Featured performers will be Dr. Christine Isley-Farmer, Valerie M. Trujillo, pianist, Elizabeth Childress, soprano, Deanna Wright, soprano, Courtney Blooding, soprano, Tamar Moten, cellist, Bonnie Wilson, soprano, and Alice Matlock, soprano. The poetry of Emily Dickinson will be brought to life in this classical music recital. The Recitals in the Rotunda are free and open to the public. Sunset Grill presents alternative white wine class

Sunset Grill is hosting a wine class to discuss alternative whites from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 6.
