Saturday kisses and happily ever after

Two decades ago Michael Garrett was shot four times by a jealous husband. Most of his body was left paralyzed, but he survived.

Just a little over 13 years ago, Belinda Whitfield went into a seizure and suffered a stroke after a drug dealer played a cruel joke on her. Though she was left mostly unable to care for herself, she survived.

Now some would argue whether miracles occurred because these two people survived their tragedies, or whether the real miracle is that Michael and Belinda, both confined to wheelchairs, were married last Saturday.
