Second Zac Brown show added to Ryman bill

A stellar year continues to build steam for The Zac Brown Band as another measure of their popularity comes in the form of a second show being added to their upcoming Ryman Auditorium concert.

Tickets for a new Dec. 28 appearance go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ryman box office and Ticketmaster locations. A few tickets still are available for the original Dec. 27 concert. Both shows begin at 7 p.m.

Brown and band has enjoyed a breakout 2009, winning the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Group Award, garnering four Country Music Association nominations, and getting their second number one single for the tune “Toes.”

The Zac Brown Band will be appearing Thursday on The Tonight Show with Conan O¹Brien, and are among the performers on the 43rd annual Country Music Association Awards telecast live from the Sommet Center Nov. 11 (7 p.m., WKRN-Channel 2).

Brown and the band have been nominated for four CMA awards. Besides Vocal Group of the Year these include Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Chicken Fried” (their first number one single which went platinum).

Tickets for both shows are $29.50, $34.50 and $39.50.
