Sideshow banner exhibit marks Plowhaus

Serendipitously, almost six hours before the World Trade Center crumbled to a ruin in lower Manhattan, Franne Lee and J.D. Wilkes ended their New York road trip early and set out for their Nashville homes.

Safely on the ribbon of highway leading south, the artist comrades learned of terrorist attack, and as the miles rolled past they shared their pain, Lee said. But, in the intimate bond created in the aftermath of tragedy, the creative duo fleshed out a plan to help with the rebuilding, regardless of location.
