Upcoming movies provide alternative to Potter, war films

Anyone seeking a cinematic alternative to either the Harry Potter and Monsters, Inc. family fare or the forthcoming glut of holiday war films might try the enjoyable concert film Grateful Dawg or the sly satire Lisa Picard is Famous. Both open today at Green Hills Cinema and the Belcourt respectively. They are relatively short works at 81 and 90 minutes but they unfold quickly, and don
