104.5 The Zone to host 'Smoke the Ravens' party

A “Smoke the Ravens” party, sponsored by 104.5 The Zone, will be held Friday

afternoon 2-7 p.m. at the Ferguson Kitchen and Lighting Gallery at 3201-B Powell Ave., as a prelude to the Tennessee Titans first home playoff game in six years on Saturday.

The Sports Zone, featuring George Plaster, will broadcasts its Friday afternoon show live from the location and Titans fans are invited to “Whack the Flac,” a token vehicle that will be provided by Lyk-Nu Collision Center, in honor about of Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.

All who participate in the “Whack the Flac” event will have a chance to win one of three pairs of tickets to the AFC Divisional Playoff Game between the Titans and Baltimore Ravens on Saturday afternoon.

“Barbecued Bird” will be served courtesy of Pig and Pie at the event, and Houston Chronicle sports writer John McClain, a regular contributor to The Zone, will be on hand from 2-4 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Charles Davis Center.

daaaang that's hitting McClain hard. Granted I haven't heard him give one piece of NFL insite in over 5 years. I think I could give as much "inside" info as he does.
