Baseball will be back.
Even before Thursday’s conclusion of the Baseball Winter Meetings, which began Monday, the organization announced its plans to return to Middle Tennessee in three years.
The 114th annual convention will take place Dec. 7-10, 2015, and will be the sixth held at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. The Winter Meetings also were held there in 1983, 1989, 1998, 2002 and 2007.
“The ability to host almost all of our attendees, events and meetings under one roof makes it a very attractive and efficient location for the Baseball Winter Meetings,” Pat O’Conner, president of Minor League Baseball said in a release to announce the decision.
The event moves to Orlando, Fla., next year and San Diego in 2014.
