Belmont’s Lorie Warren became the fourth woman ever named Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golfer of the Year.
The senior from Hendersonville was named the top player for the second year in a row by the conference’s head coaches and media relations directors, it was announced Monday. She also was one of two unanimous all-conference first-team selections. It was her fourth consecutive all-conference recognition.
Warren led the conference with 74.16 scoring average during the season and won three individual titles. She won nine times during her career and set school records for lowest 18, 36 and 54-hole scores and the lowest single-season and career scoring averages.
She graduated last week with a management degree.
