The Indianapolis Colts have signed defensive tackle Antonio Johnson off the Tennessee Titans practice squad to their 53-man roster.

Johnson, a 2007 fifth-round draft choice of the Titans, missed his rookie season with a knee injury, then failed to make the active roster in training camp and was re-signed to the practice squad.

The Titans are expected to add another player to their practice squad to fill the spot. They worked out former Houston Texans first-round pick Jason Babin, as well as defensive tackles Anthony Maddox, Michael Myers and William Joseph.

Babin, a defensive end and 3-4 linebacker, ironically was chosen with the pick the Titans traded to the Texans as they moved back in the 2004 NFL Draft. The Titans moved back and selected tight end Ben Troupe.
