Free agent cornerback Eric King has signed a two-year deal with the Detroit Lions.
King, who spent the past three seasons in Tennessee, was a valuable reserve as both an inside and outside cover cornerback.
Each of the past two seasons, King's season was ended prematurely with a broken forearm.
King is reunited with his former defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who is the Lions new head coach and should be in the mix for a starting cornerback job there as Schwartz tries to rebuild the club from last year's 0-16 finish.
