Dallas Cowboys free agent running back Julius Jones is in town today to visit with the Tennessee Titans, according to The Dallas Morning News.

As reported in Wednesday edition of The City Paper, the Titans were expected to take a look at Jones as they try to find a suitable running back to pair with LenDale White. Chris Brown, who held that role last season, is an unrestricted free agent and likely to play elsewhere next season.

Jones rushed for 588 yards on 164 carries while splitting time with Marion Barber with the Cowboys in 2007. His best season came in 2006, when he rushed for 1,084 yards on 267 carries.

Jones visited with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday.

I'm a Cowboys fan so here's the scoop on Jones: great open field runner, but can't grind it out. He will go down easy and is better north/south than east/west. He never lived up to his rookie season, but maybe a change in venue is what he needs. If the Titans have any O-line issues, he won't work.
