The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms on a contract with Tennessee Titans free agent defensive end Jevon Kearse pending a physical Thursday morning, the team confirmed to The City Paper Wednesday.

The team did not release any terms of the deal, but ESPN Radio reported it was eight years, $66 million with a $16 million signing bonus.

Kearse became an unrestricted free agent Wednesday after the Titans declined to franchise him.

He finished the 2003 season with 9.5 sacks, but did not have any sacks after Nov. 9 in part because of a nagging ankle injury. Kearse also missed 12 games in 2002 with a broken metatarsel bone in his left foot that required two surgeries, including a bone graft.
