Receiver Justin Gage could miss his third consecutive game as he recovers from a back injury.
Gage did some running on the side, but has not practiced all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
He initially the transverse process bones in his back making a leaping catch against the San Francisco 49ers back on Nov. 8.
Gage said he is improving, though the healing process is taking longer than he would prefer.
“I’m getting back into the groove of things. I’m getting better day-by-day. It’s taking longer than I wanted it to, but what can I do,” Gage said.
In addition to Gage, defensive tackles Sen’Derrick Marks (ankle) and Jason Jones (shoulder) will both be questionable after not practicing again on Friday. Jones did limited work Wednesday and Marks did not practice all week.
“It’s still a little sore. It’s frustrating not being able to go out there and fight with my teammates, but it’s something I can’t control right now,” said Jones, who has missed three games already with the injury.
Linebackers David Thornton (hip) and Collin Allred (hamstring) were both limited in practice and will be questionable for Sunday’s game.
Cornerback Cortland Finnegan (hamstring) practiced fully and is probable.
