The Tennessee Titans search for help at wide receiver continues as University of Georgia wideout Mohamed Massaquoi is scheduled to be in town today for a visit at Baptist Sports Park, a league source confirmed.
Massaquoi blossomed for the Bulldogs as a senior, catching 58 passes for 920 yards and eight touchdowns.
He has been busy making the rounds, having already visited the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions, with visits scheduled with the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears as well as the Titans.
Nicks, Harvin, Britt visits upcoming
The Titans have plenty of receivers scheduled for visits, having met with Darrius Heyward-Bey last week and with scheduled meetings with North Carolina’s Hakeem Nicks, Florida’s Percy Harvin, Rutgers’ Kenny Britt, Southern Cal’s Patrick Turner and LSU’s Dominque Byrd all upcoming.
Nicks, interestingly enough, played high school football on the same team as Massaquoi at Independence High in Charlotte, N.C.
Among the players who visited Baptist Sports Park last week, in addition to those already reported by The City Paper included receivers Mike Wallace of Ole Miss and Marko Mitchell of Nevada, cornerback Darius Butler of Connecticut, running back Glenn Coffee of Alabama, safety Reshard Langford of Vanderbilt, Tennessee State offensive linemen Cecil Newton and Cornelius Lewis and TSU running back Javarris Williams.
