The Tennessee Titans released running back Travis Henry Saturday afternoon after the two sides were not able to agree on a new contract.

The Titans were hoping to negotiate an extension in lieu of paying an $8 million roster bonus that was due Monday.

Henry, who enjoyed a great comeback season in Tennessee, rushed for 1,211 yards and seven touchdowns.

Henry, 28, is already testing the waters as he boarded a plane for Denver shortly after his release. He will visit the Broncos, and four other teams have inquired about him.

Henry's agent Hadley Englehard indicated that he and Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt would continue to talk despite the release in an effort for Henry to return to Tennesssee.
