Kentucky, FSU to play in Music City Bowl

Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl officials announced Sunday that Kentucky and Florida State will meet in the 10th edition of the game Dec. 31 at LP Field.

“I just don’t think you could have a better combination of two things for a bowl game,” Executive Director Scott Ramsey said. "For a 10th anniversary, we couldn’t have a better game even if we tried.”

Kentucky finished 7-5 and was ranked No. 8 in mid-October before losing four of its final five games. The highlight of the year came when UK toppled then-No. 1 LSU 43-37 on Oct. 13.

Once-mighty Florida State, which was ranked among the final national top-five from 1987 to 2000, finished 7-5 this season. It marked the third consecutive year the Seminoles have lost at least five games.
