Brandon Cadavid’s two-run double capped a four-run seventh inning but Lipscomb was defeated 9-6 by Austin Peay on Tuesday at Ken Dugan Field.

Cadavid, a senior shortstop, was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. He also drove in a run in the third with an infield single.

Designated hitter Tennyson Dodd had two hits, including a double, and one run scored. Tyler Wilson and Allen Bolden each scored twice, but the Bisons (21-30) struck out 12 times against six different APSU pitchers.

Lipscomb used five pitchers in its own right. Starter Davey Hackett went five innings and allowed four runs on eight hits.

The Bisons, who have clinched a spot in the Atlantic Sun tournament, will conclude the regular season with a three-game series at East Tennessee State, Thursday through Saturday.
