The Nashville Outlaws, who clinched a Prospect League playoff berth with a doubleheader sweep Friday at Hawkins Field, will face Danville (Ill.) in a first-round playoff game 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The winner will advance to a best-of-three finals series Wednesday.

The Outlaws, having to win both games, posted twin shutouts over Terre Haute in the two home finales at Hawkins Field to clinch a berth. They missed a chance to host a playoff game when they lost Saturday at DuBois County 8-6 in the regular season finale.

Nashville (30-24) won the first game Friday 2-0 as current UT and former Brentwood High School pitcher Andy Hillis threw six innings of one-hit shutout baseball, and Vanderbilt catcher Drew Fann went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

In the nightcap, catcher Doug Joyce singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for a 1-0 victory. VU’s Navery Moore picked up the win in relief.
