The Tennessee Titans finished their first day of draft work Saturday by selecting Penn State cornerback Rich Gardner with the 92nd overall pick.

The Titans wound up needing a cornerback in this year's draft after the season-ending injury suffered by Tony Beckham in off-season workouts two weeks ago.

Gardner, 5-10, 199, has been timed in the 40 at 4.53 and is considered to be a shutdown type corner.

In all, the Titans went for defense with four of their first five picks in the draft, with only their first choice, tight end Ben Troupe, being on the offensive side of the ball.
