The Nashville Predators will make three appearances – on four different networks – as part of the National Hockey League’s 2009-10 national broadcast schedule, which was announced Wednesday.

The Predators will make their only appearance on U.S. national television Nov. 23, when they play at home against the Detroit Red Wings in a game that will be shown on Versus. That game also will be simulcast in Canada on TSN2, that country’s equivalent to ESPN.

In order to accommodate the broadcast plans, the start time for that contest has been changed from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. (CST).

Nashville also will be featured as part on the highly watched “Hockey Night In Canada” on Dec. 19 when it plays at Calgary. That contest will be shown on Canada’s CBC.

The Predators' first major telecast will be Nov. 14, when the Montreal Canadiens make their first visit in two years to the Sommet Center. The French-speaking network RDS will carry that contest.

Nashville is not a part of NBC’s national broadcast schedule in the U.S.
