The Nashville Predators announced Wednesday that a team of prospects will travel to Florida for a pair of games against young players from the Florida Panthers prior to the start of training camp.
The games will be held Sept. 15 and 16. The Predators will begin training camp with testing and physicals on Sept. 17.
Each of the previous two years Nashville has conducted similar exhibitions with some of their young players against the top prospects of the Atlanta Thrashers.
This year’s Predators’ prospects lineup is expected to feature several of the top picks from recent drafts, including forwards Blake Geoffrion and Austin Watson, defensemen Jonathon Blum, Ryan Ellis, Roman Josi and Charles Oliver-Roussel as well as goalie Chet Pickard.
