Ryan Suter’s goal at 1:44 of overtime lifted the Nashville Predators to a 4-3 road victory over the Atlanta Thrashers on Friday.

Suter took a long pass from defense partner Shea Weber, and his wrist shot beat goalie Johan Hedberg between the pads. Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne had the other assist.

Rinne played for the first time since Nov. 6, made 22 saves and improved to 3-0 for the season.

Nashville led in each of the first three periods but Atlanta tied it each time. Dan Hamhuis made it 1-0 in the first, Scott Nichol made it 2-1 in the second and Jason Arnott made it 3-2 in the third.

The Predators improved to 5-2 in overtime this season.

They will play Minnesota at home 7 p.m. Saturday.
