Preds' Weber fined $2,500 for hit on Detroit's Zetterberg

The National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety has fined Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber $2,500 for a hit to the head on Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg, according to a report on nhl.com.

The hit occurred at the end of Wednesday night’s Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal series between the two teams. Weber was assessed a minor roughing penalty at the time of the incident.
