Former Tennessee Titans receiver Drew Bennett has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, according to a report in the Carroll County (Md.) Times.
Bennett had worked out for the Titans in May, after having been released by the St. Louis Rams after two injury-plagued seasons there. Bennett left the Titans and signed with the Rams for a $30 million deal after the 2006 season.
The Ravens signed Bennett with the potential retirement of another ex-Titan Derrick Mason looming over the organization. There were reports that Mason might reconsider a decision to retire after a meeting with Ravens coach John Harbaugh recently.
Bennett, 30, had his best seasons in Tennessee with his best year coming in 2004 when he caught 80 passes for 1,247 yards and 11 touchdown receptions.
Bennett's deal is reportedly for one year for the league minimum.
