Tickets for the Southeastern Conference women’s basketball tournament, which for the fifth time will be held at Bridgestone Arena, go on sale Oct. 4.
Complete schedule and television broadcast details, which include three different outlets, for the 2012 event were announced Tuesday by the conference office.
In-state teams won each of the previous four tournaments held in Nashville. Vanderbilt was the champion in 2002 and 2004, and Tennessee took the title in 2008 and 2011. Play begins with four games on March 1 and 2 (sessions begin at noon and 6:30 p.m.), all of which Fox Sports Network will televise. Television coverage switches to ESPNU for the semifinals, which are scheduled for 3 and 5 p.m. on March 3. ESPN2 will show the championship game (5 p.m. March 4).
Advance ticket options available are a reserved seating tournament book ($90) and reserved single-session seats ($17 per ticket). Once the sale commences, purchases can be made through the SEC website (secsports.com) or by phone at (800) 732-4849.
Single-game general admission tickets will be available for $12 only on the day of the event at the Bridgestone Arena box office.
