SAN FRANCISCO _ The Tennessee Titans will be without injured tackle David Stewart and linebacker David Thornton for today’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Stewart suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday’s practice and will be replaced by Leroy Harris, normally a guard and center, but starting today at right tackle.

Thornton has not practiced all week because of a hip injury and will give way to rookie Gerald McRath.

Other Titans inactives include defensive ends Jevon Kearse and Dave Ball, defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks, tackle Mike Otto, running back Javon Ringer and cornerback Nick Harper.

Inactives for the 49ers include cornerbacks Keith Smith and Nate Clements, linebacker Diyral Briggs, center Cody Wallace, tackle Joe Staley and defensive tackle Demetric Evans.

Nate Davis is the 49ers third quarterback.
