Miami (Ohio) is getting familiar with Nashville universities.
The Redhawks will host Tennessee State at 2 p.m. on Feb. 19 as part of ESPN’s 10th annual BracketBusters, the school announced on Monday.
Miami (5-14, 1-6 Mid-American Conference) lost to Vanderbilt 69-62 on Jan. 2. In December, the Redhawks edged Belmont 66-61.
Heading into Monday night’s game against Austin Peay, TSU (13-10 and 6-4 in the OVC) was riding a three-game winning streak. They are led by junior forward Robert Covington (17.7 ppg).
Murray State, ranked 10th in the nation and the last undefeated in Division I at 21-0, headlines the BracketBusters matchups. The Racers host No. 21 St. Mary’s out of the West Coast Conference at 5 p.m. on Feb. 18 on either ESPN or ESPN2.
Austin Peay (9-14, 6-4) will play at Horizon League foe Youngstown State (11-9) on Feb. 18.
