Tickets for U.S. women's soccer match go on sale Friday

Tickets for the U.S. Soccer Women’s National team’s match against Scotland, Feb. 13 at LP Field, go on sale 10 a.m. (CST) Friday.

The U.S. women are ranked No. 1 in the world and the contest is one of numerous events throughout the year that will commemorate the 100-year anniversary of U.S. Soccer. The same teams also will play four days earlier at Jacksonville.

It will be the second appearance ever for the U.S. women at LP Field. They previously came to Middle Tennessee for a 2004 Olympic tune-up with Canada.

Seats are available for as low as $22 and may be purchased through U.S. Soccer (, by phone (800-745-300), all TicketMaster outlets and the LP Field ticket office.

Remember to vote online and get the World Cup back to the United States. We can't afford to lose tournament host nation bid to that soccer powerhouse nation Qatar. Oops, er, never mind.
