Tennessee Titans free agent defensive back Chris Carr was in Detroit on Sunday visiting with the Lions.
According to agent Buddy Baker, Carr has another scheduled visit to an undisclosed team after he winds up his trip to Detroit.
The Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers are also believed to have interest in Carr, but no visits have yet been lined up there.
Carr, who helped the Titans top the league in kickoff returns after coming over as a restricted free agent from the Oakland Raiders in 2008, is a player the Titans would like to keep if possible.
The Titans made Carr an offer, but he chose to explore unrestricted free agency.
“I talked to the Titans [on Saturday],” Baker said, “ and they told us again that they still have interest in bringing Chris back and to keep them in the loop as he goes out on the market. They have made us an offer, but obviously, checking out other places is one of the benefits of being in free agency.”
The Lions, coached now by former Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, have already signed Eric King away from Tennessee as they seek to rebuild from the rubble of an 0-16 season.
